CHARLES SURRANO: I've always been very independent minded and so starting my own firm made complete sense.  I come at a case with the idea that I can help a client, I can get them to a point where they need to be. And I can communicate my idea of where I think they can go with their case effectively and clearly to the client so that the client understands that we are in this together.  I also bring a level of persistency. I don't give up. I'm not known as a quitter. I'll pursue things to their natural end.  I'm ethical and I like to think I do a good, thorough job for the clients and that when it comes time to go to court and to try the case if we have to, we'll be ready and we'll do it well.  As far as background goes, I grew up and was educated in New York, practiced law there briefly. Moved out to Arizona, took the Arizona Bar exam, managed to get the highest grade on it.  I went to work for an insurance defense firm, learning a lot about the insurance industry and what happens internally at insurance companies, decided after having done that for a while that I needed to make a change.  I started representing policyholders against their own insurers. I enjoy it and hope in the remaining years to continue to do it better and more successfully for however many more years I have left to do it.
